$#&*@ You

Yes, as I said in the title, Thank You for being such loyal readers. I know it takes patience to wade through some of these posts, especially when I start rambling on, and even worse when I am rambling on about rambling on. OK, let's move on.

So, did you read the title as including cursing? Even from the early days of comics, those symbols have implied cursing, right? So, I used them in today's Clarity of Vision cartoon. Do they imply cursing there? You can decide.

Per yesterday's comment, I like MILKK and KLIKS. Both are clever. And, Lyndsay, you are correct that, if we add in a J, it doesn't flow as well. I'll have to ponder this in my heart (can I have a Biblical reference after today's cartoon?).

IT'S HERE!!!! Our episode of The Price Is Right (TPIR) will finally be shown on CBS today. Be sure to record it, OK? At work, we are having a team meeting to watch it as a group. After all, almost half of us went together. We are supposed to wear our TPIR shirt for the showing. I brought mine, but did not want to wear it all day. You'll see why when you watch the show.

Unbelievably, I have run out of things to say. Hey, no snide remarks. So, I will let you go set your DVR or VCR or however you are planning to record it. You can see how well (or not) our team member did on the show. Ohhh, I can't wait.

Call Me Chester

I expect that the majority of my readers have no clue what the title means today. There was a long-running western on TV called Gunsmoke. Marshall Dillon was the lead character, but he had a deputy named Chester who had a bum leg and limped everywhere. That's what I am doing now. Limping a bit because of my right knee. Yes, I should get it checked out, and I will. Soon.

Lyndsay, I need your help on something. I'm a good grandfather, right? You love me as part of your own family, right? You like to make me happy, right? When y'all are considering names for my new grandchild, please find one that will fit into my blog name for your family, KLIK. Maybe something starting with a C or an N? Thanks.

Speaking of fitting letters into an acronym, my personal challenge today was extend the acronym list I started the other day on the PAC the CAR before moving from PARC to DRIVE comic strip.

Speaking of Lyndsay, congrats to Lindsay on moving to New Zealand for 18 months. Wow. That is a long way away. I guess that means you won't be meeting us in Ouray for a while?

I took a CAPM practice test yesterday. I went DOWN in my score, moving from a 80 on the last test to 76 this time. Predictably, Risk was again my worst category. Also, predictably, I did not study beforehand. Yeah, I've got to get more disciplined. Maybe I can actually read the Risk chapter today?

OK, yeah, I've been rambling. So, I will stop talking (or more accurately, writing) and let you go. Thanks for staying through until the bitter end. Since you did, here is a funny item I sent to my team yesterday. Well, we thought it was funny.

Back in the Oven Called Phoenix

Kathie and I spent the weekend in Flagstaff celebrating our 35th anniversary. It was nice, although it did get up to 85F on Saturday. At night, though, it dropped into the 50s. On the drive back yesterday, we watched the thermometer warning us as the heat rose through the 90s into the mid-100s, ending at 108F.

Since my right knee is hurting a bit, we did not do that much hiking. We did some eating, though. We hit two places where Guy Fieri ate on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. One was Salsa Brava for dinner Friday night. The other was Brandy's for brunch on Saturday. Saturday night was reserved for Black Bart's, where NAU students serve as wait staff and sing various (usually Broadway) songs. We love it. We hit Knotty Pine in Payson for lunch on Sunday. Saturday afternoon was spent touring artist's studios during an annual Artist Demonstration weekend. We bought a little jewelry and learned some new places to photograph (just north of Mono Lake!).

I also went up to the aspens near Snowbowl for some photos. In fact, that was the inspiration for this.

Now, though, real life intrudes again. Work and housework and pinkie rehab and a practice test for my CAPM exam. Oh well.

Since we were gone, I do not have any news from kids or folks or anything. And I already told you about our weekend. So, I will let you leave early today. Spend the time you got back getting a jump on your homework, OK? We'll talk more tomorrow.

Pops! Pops! (Soon to be Pops!)

That's right. I love hearing Bella and Kendall calling for their Pops. Next year, a new voice will be added to the mix when Kyle and Lyndsay welcome the newest Walker. OK, sure, the new baby won't be calling me Pops for a while, but I can wait. I am hoping for an April 15 delivery so something good can happen each year on Tax Day.

Kathie and I are celebrating our 35th with a weekend getaway up to Flagstaff. It will be a nice break from the 115's we've been facing. Alison will be watching the animals for us. Thanks, Ali. I am thinking to maybe hit Black Bart's for dinner and musical entertainment from NAU students tonight.

Speaking of eating out...

I have to get out some reports before we can head north, so I think I'll get started. Of course, I also have to wait until we both finish our work days, too. Still, the quicker I knock out my assignments, the better I'll look to the boss. So, have a good weekend. Stay cool, no matter which part of the country you are in.

The Hurrier I Go...

... the behinder I get. Wow, miss a day, miss a lot. I have not prepared the agenda for today's conference call yet, so my comments will be brief. Sure, I know I could generate the post anytime during the day, but some of you might check it in the morning, and it gets it done so I can focus on work. So, let's start talking.

Following my BBQ Something comic the other day, a coworker sent me his response, which is the main point of today's CoV. Clever, right?

I was out with a bad headache yesterday, so I was not at work and did not even feel like working during much of the day. I suppose it could be heat related, but I wasn't out in the heat much, so that seems unlikely. I'm back to normal now, though.

Missing yesterday meant I missed my allotted time for my practice test for CAPM. I am thinking I will schedule my real test for mid-September. So, I might take a practice in the morning if no one has the PC reserved. Otherwise, I will have to wait until next Wednesday.

The forecast for today is 116F. I guess we are now paying for our cooler-than-normal May, and of course, for our generally pleasant winters. One benefit of coming in early is I capture one of the limited number of covered parking spots. Today, though, I have to go to another building for a 9am meeting. Bye bye, covered parking. Boo. Maybe someone will have gone to lunch by the time I return around 11:30am.

OK, I need to get ready for the morning. See you soon.

It's Probably Arthritis

Seems like I say that a lot lately. Right now, it refers to my right knee that seems to be acting up. In the past, it has also referred to my right pinkie and my left shoulder. I do have a checkup coming mid-September, so maybe I'll mention it if it still a problem then.

You know what a TLA is, right? A three-letter acronym? All companies have them. As an education company, we are not immune. I heard about a new step in our process yesterday that is called by a TLA and I immediately went and penned the idea for today's CoV.

I have my next CAPM practice test tomorrow. I have not really studied again. It is so easy to get caught up in other work activities and stuff at home that I don't spend the time I should preparing for the CAPM exam. It will help once I set a firm date and know there are no more excuses. The company only pays for this test once, so if I fail, it'll cost me $225 to reschedule. I think I will shoot for mid-September.

We are having a horrible heat wave right now. We hit 115F yesterday and are scheduled for 115F the next two days. We then get to cool down to 113F. Luckily, we are at 11% humidity, so it really is a dry heat. Still, that's hot.

Today is my crazy meeting day, starting with the 8:30am call, so I'd best be preparing. You'd best be doing whatever it is you do. I'll get back in touch with you soon.

Curse You, Fro Yo

What is going on? It seems I want some frozen yogurt every weekend now. I like Strawberry-Banana, with blueberries, mango, blackberries, and a sprinkle of crushed Heath Bar. And, we found a place that charges about the same as other places ($0.37 per ounce), but has a punchcard for a free cup after purchasing 9 cups. It is called Kokomo (make you think of the Beach Boys song?) and is not the most convenient, so we are probably using more in gas than the free cup warrants.

Speaking of clever names, that is the subject of today's Clarity of Vision.

We attended a party over at KLIK's place Saturday evening. We played Encore and Uno Stacko. A good time was had by all. Speaking of Lyndsay, she is not feeling well. Please pray for a rapid recovery. And Jo is having Carpal Tunnel surgery this week, so pray for her, also.

Since we had a party on Sat, we did not see any movies this weekend. Did you?

I show two meetings on tap for today, and six for tomorrow (one of which is my standing 8:30am call). I guess I should enjoy today's respite while I can. So, I'm heading into my respite zone now. Let's talk again tomorrow.

A Tweet, Tweet Spirit In This Place

Sure, I can start out a post with a horrible parody of a praise song. It's my blog. I can do what I want. You may be wondering what the title has to do with anything. Here. read this.

Hey, another member of my study group scored higher on the practice test than I did. She got 87% and I only got 80%. Now, I've got to study just to beat her. And another member has already scheduled her test for 9/2. No, I am not going to try to beat her (meaning schedule mine earlier), but it does mean I need to get my official test scheduled. I'll call the admin today for the payment info.

I was just reminded that our appearance on The Price Is Right is coming up on 8/31. Don't miss it! Set your Tivo or DVR or even VCR to tape it. We will. Plus, we are looking for a room on campus so the team can gather and watch it when it airs.

Mmm. I get me some good Lyndsay cooking this weekend. Maybe a game, too. And some time with granddaughters. And brunch with my beloved. It is shaping up to be a great weekend.

OK, I have a task request from my boss that is not completed yet, so I'll get on it as soon as we finish. As far as I am concerned, we are finished. Do you have anything you want to say? If so, wait for the beep.

Kyle's Doing What?

I got a call from Kyle last night. Apparently, he is going to install a tile backsplash. Yes, that Kyle. He needed a caulking gun for the glue, but I don't have one. Wow. That's pretty cool. For me, though, the grouting was more tedious than hanging the tiles. And yes, Kyle, I do have a grout float.

There is probably some exercise in doing that. So, he should be adding some time to his life according to the Taiwan study was discussed yesterday. Hey, what if he watches TV while tiling? Does it balance out? Oh, I didn't tell you about the British study saying each hour of TV we watch shortens our lives by 22 minutes, did I? Here are my comments on that.

I got 80 on the CAPM practice test I took yesterday. I did worst on the Risk and Scope categories, so I should study those chapters before I take the practice test again next week. I hope to schedule the real exam for early September.

I am running a few minutes late on writing my post today. Someone stopped by and we ended up reviewing our wrong answers on the practice tests with each other. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long.

Hey, are y'all on pinterest.com? What is Pinterest? According to their web site, Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes. Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
I have a few ideas that I thought looked interesting captured there. I'm linked to Brenda and Lindsay and Kari already.

So, I guess Dad is installing a new built-in unit at Preacher Bro's house today. I think he built it from a dang stump he found somewhere. Can I get an Amen? Anyone? I almost heard one. It means that he will not be at this weekend's Chorale concert up in Scottsdale. Fine, I suppose I can drive myself.

Well, I need to prepare for the Thursday 8:30am call, so I will let you go. Yeah, I know. First, I kept you waiting, and now, it is already time to go. Well, we've always got tomorrow, Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

980 Out Of ???

Yup, this is post 980 since I started 6 years ago. If you took the content of all of them and found how many enriched your life by reading them, what would the count be? I think it is 17 for me. Anyway, I am pretty sure I will make it to blog 1000. How many blog posts does it take to release this to syndication? For TV shows, they say around 200 is needed.

Yes, I did hear about the study in Taiwan. Yes, it did intrigue me enough to make it the subject of today's Clarity of Vision. Yes, you can read it now.I also heard about the British study. More about that in coming days. I would say tomorrow, but I will leave myself some wiggle room.

I have about 15 minutes before I take my next CAPM practice test. Hey, isn't that just enough time to add three years to my life? Hmm. If someone were on their dying bed and you could get them to drop and slam out a couple of pushups, could they make it to October or so?

Reorg madness is still swirling around me. We will be moving away from this building soon. We don't know to where yet, but it might mean I lose my covered parking (which I only get to claim because I come in so stinking early).

I am trying to think of a way to share the story about the gum that chewed back. I might provide excerpts at the end of several days of posts. Or I might just place the story in a single post and remind you about it for several days. I know you want to read it. I have remembered the premise since I read it in around 4th or 5th grade, and that was way back before your time.

OK, let's get the test started so I can get finished (remember, it takes 3 hours) and get going with today's assignments. I'll let you know tomorrow if I am still getting a 'D'.

Less is More

As part of the org changes at work, we are trying to simply a number of processes and templates to make the company more quick to respond to business needs and provide IT support for hardware and software updates. For the Project Management Office, it means we will be cutting down the number of documents we generate to the ones that the business needs to use the solutions we deliver. One big area of simplification is in our templates.Yeah, I hope we don't go there.

Hey, I am taking another practice test for my certification tomorrow. I won't finish it until after I have created a post, so you may not know the results until Thursday. I did some studying over the weekend and worked some questions on my own during lunch yesterday, so I hope to improve my score. One member of the group has already scheduled her official test for Sept 2.

Speaking of re-org, I got a couple of new reporting assignments yesterday to provide management with more info about which projects will really improve the student's learning environment. So, we can't sit around shooting the breeze until 10am like we normally do. (What? You don't do that everyday?)

I have nothing else to say. So, you get off easy today. And since I will be getting ready for my practice test tomorrow, I may let you go early two days in a row. Check back tomorrow and we'll see.

Chelsea Clinton Was Named After This Song

What song? Chelsea Morning by Joni Mitchell. Why am I writing about this? Well, I needed a title for today's post, so I though about something like Woke Up. It Was an August Morning. However, that wasn't the right words to the song now in my head. Was it maybe September Morning? No, that's not the words, either. Oh yeah. It was Chelsea Morning. Hmm. I wonder where Chelsea is? I went to Google and found Chelsea is a NYC neighborhood. The Wikipedia entry said the Clinton's named their daughter after the song after hearing a Judy Collins performance. And that's how I title my posts.

I also have to think of a title for each day's Clarity of Vision cartoons. Today's title is Not At My Desk. So, when you read that, where did you place the emphasis? On the word My? Nope. I think it should go on the word Not. Why? Read it and decide.

We had a nice, fairly quiet weekend. Why? What happened at your place? Any family members moving?

Oh, I promised to tell you about the results of my first sample test for the CAPM certification. I passed, although I took much grief from my family. Yeah, I got a 69.3%. So according to the family, I squeaked by with a D. Not terrible since it is considered passing and I had not studied. However, the advisor said we need to consistently score in the upper 80's on the practice tests before sitting for the real exam. True, I had not studied, but I did do some studying over the weekend getting ready for test #2 on Wednesday.

I only have a couple of meetings scheduled for today, one of which is the CAPM Study Group. However, since the boss is back in town, I am sure he has plenty of things coming that I don't know about. So, I think I'll knock out a couple of standing deliverables before he turns my day upside down. Or maybe he'll turn it downside up. Anyway, you've read enough for now. Go rest your eyes and use them on my blog again tomorrow.

I Should Have Studied

With the boss out of town and the craziness at work, I have been busy all day everyday for the past couple of weeks. However, I cannot delay taking the practice tests for the CAPM certification any longer. So, I take my first one in 20 minutes. I have not done any extra studying, so I fear I will fail spectacularly. It is a 3-hour test, and we cannot carry anything in with us, including water. So, we are taking these practice tests with the same restrictions. They will issue us a pen and one 11x17 piece of paper for notes and scratch paper.

I will need some real nourishment after I finish and not just rabbit food.

I think we are getting together with the kids tonight. I am not sure where nor what we will do, but it'll be fun.

The reminder on my computer just said I am scheduled to start in 14 minutes. I should wrap this up and get ready.

I need to add an idea I had about Six-Sigma Black Belt certification to my CoV idea list. Where might I take that? I really have not decided yet. I could build on the color of the belt, the idea of a physical belt, the idea of not getting all the way to six yet. I'm not sure. That is why I add it to my log file and cogitate on it a while.

I am down to 10 minutes. Why are you distracting me right now? I've got to walk all the way to the other side of this building to get to the test room, so I will lace up the sneakers and get going. I'll let you know on Monday how I did.

Running Late Due to a Password Problem

Somehow, access to the tool I use to create my daily comic strip got hosed and we needed to reset the password. I use Microsoft Visio and I do not actually have that software on my machine. I link to it through the network and that linkage was broken. So, after working with the Help Desk for 45 minutes, we got access restored. So now, I am running really late, especially on a day when I have an 8:30am call.

The GRANDS called me last night and both quoted Deuteronomy 31:8 (I think that was the verse. Suddenly, I cannot remember exactly. Maybe this ties in with today's CoV?) They did an excellent job. They have both been memorizing a number of Scriptures.

Speaking of today's CoV and a lack of memory.

The boss is away on a business trip and has left me with eight action items which must be completed by tomorrow. Plus, I signed up to take a practice test for three hours in the morning for the CAPM certification. It'll be a busy couple of days. Still, I promise to take time to blog again in the morning. See you then. Unless I forget.

The Noid Is Coming Back?

I read that Domino's is bringing back the Noid for a one week special engagement. He was first introduced in 1986 and lasted through the '80s. I wonder if any other fast food chains will bring back one of their advertising characters? I am sure the guy on today's CoV would like a return of The Lion King.

So, Bella and Kendall are both in school, at least on the two days a week Kendall goes to preschool. They grow up so quickly. Well, it seems quickly to me because I don't see them everyday.

Work is crazy busy right now as we complete a reorg under which we became part of a different branch of the company. Luckily, no layoffs were needed in our area. For me personally, it has meant I needed to carry some of my boss' load while he works on reorg stuff. So much for being able to come to work and just sit in my cubicle all day and staying out of the line of fire.

SKS, is your solar stuff in? Let me know what happens with your power bills.

LWW, why are y'all in New Joisy? You should cruise over to Hoboken and buy something from The Cake Boss at Carlo's Bakery.

During the first week of school, Kathie always comes home exhausted. Getting a routine for the kids, establishing the classroom discipline, creating all the new year's lesson plans, the heat of AZ summers. It takes a couple of weeks to settle down. Even with my new responsibilities, I don't have all of those pressures. I imagine Alison (and Leigh, of course) are equally worn out by the end of their days.

Kathie tells me that a number of you have seen our anniversary photos on Facebook. That's good, since I am a slacker about getting them onto my blog. See, she handles Facebook and uploaded the photos herself. I handle the blog and do so each morning....at work....where my photos are not. So, I don't always remember to upload any the night before to share with you. I will one day. No, really. I promise.

It always seems to happen that I have to stop visiting with you to do that work stuff that helps put money into my 401K. Today is no exception. Maybe I can pick up a Happy Meal during lunch to help augment my 401K? See you later.

A Page From History

Yup, I chose a topical reference for both the title of today's post and Clarity of Vision comic. Let's go ahead and see what headline I saw that made me choose this. When I saw that in Yahoo, I knew that is what I would use for CoV today. Check out my Clarity of Vision blog for the other considerations on this comic.

Nothing interesting happened yesterday. It was a normal workday for both Kathie and I. It wasn't anybody's birthday or anniversary (well, it was probably somebody's, but no one that I know). No new re-orgs at work. No car batteries needed to be replaced.

We are on the downhill side of summer. I noticed that our average temperature for this time of year is only 106F. And we are supposed to be 107F or so for the whole week. Unfortunately, our electric utility charges higher rates during July and August, so this is our expensive time of year. We certainly look forward to 8pm when the night rates start and we can cool the house. Until then, we let it get up to 84F in the house. Overnight, we cool the house to 73F until 1pm when the higher rates kick in.

I think I hear the sounds of campers waking up around me, so I'd best head the call of reveille and start my day. I am referring to the bugle call and not the First Lady of the Aggies. Since I will be busy all the way until Taps tonight, we can meet again at sunrise tomorrow.

It Keeps Happening Like This

Every week, another Monday seems to come around and I have to wake up and go to work. Something must be done about this. Maybe we can all get a job at the Post Office and only work three days a week in the future? What do y'all think about them maybe dropping Saturday deliveries? Will that stop the red ink or don't you think they will keep reducing the number of days?

We had a nice anniversary on Saturday. We went to see Pinocchio at a local kid's theater (and I introduced the mayor of Gilbert to my family). We had a nice lunch at Oregano's. Then, the GRANDS spent the night (I missed out on swimming, though, because I was working on Alison's car battery).

Speaking of anniversary....

It's a four meeting day. So, I'd best be about the business of busyness. Thank you for your continued readingness of this blog (Somehow, I got stuck on ending things with -ness, huh?).

Don't I Look Thirty-Five?

Perhaps I look a bit older than thirty-five, but Kathie doesn't. And yet, tomorrow is our 35th anniversary. We really were naive babies back then. Who could have imagined the roller-coaster life would take us on in the coming years? Honey, thanks for sticking with me.

I have not spent quite that much time with any of my work wives. One of them is leaving the company today and I thought that would make for a clever CoV.

Due to budget constraints (ours, not the U.S.), we are delaying our anniversary celebration. Instead, the GRANDS are spending the night with us after going to a kids production of Pinocchio in Gilbert.

I need to get the paperwork filled out for me to take the certification test for the project management stuff. There is a chance that the test will change in September, so it is recommended that we take it before then. I have not even had a chance to take the practice tests yet. This could be a challenge.

The boss is still on vacation, so he sent me a number of tasks that must be completed today. Hello, boss. Aren't you supposed to be on vacation? Stop checking your email.

So, with that incentive, I think I should get started on them. Have a great weekend.

DZNE and TXTing

A friend stopped by just a moment ago and said she hadn't really liked the Home Sick cartoon of a couple of days ago. Of course, I recognize that everyone doesn't like every cartoon. I don't even like all of them equally, and I wrote them. I do file away all the comments anyone send me about them to see which ideas were most popular.

I also have a file of ideas for future CoV cartoons. Some ideas are not fully baked and I need to think what would make them work. Some are ready, but I come up with more topical ideas before I use them. Some ideas are single sentences that I don't have any idea what a comic about them would say, but I liked the concept it could present.

Today's Clarity of Vision is one from the idea file. I placed it there because I had never decided on a good ending. I did not hear anything on the radio that triggered an idea, so I had to fall back on the log and chose an idea I called Speaking in Text. This is what I came up with.

I looked up ZKW's ship yesterday, the USS Stennis. I found that it has been in a number of movies and TV shows. Executive Decision, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Sum of all Fears, NCIS, and perhaps most importantly (at least to my family), Soarin' Over California at Disney California Adventure.

Yesterday, I was so busy that I forgot to send out the CoV to my work mailing list. Luckily for you, I do this update first thing in the morning, so I rarely miss sharing the comic strip with you. Or maybe that is unluckily, huh?

OK, I do have my 8:30am call today, and I have not yet created the agenda, so I gots to go. As always, lock up when you leave.

Isn't It Friday Yet?

Man, this week is one of those that seems to last forever....

Are you a geek or know someone who is? Like to do your own programming? Check out this history of programming languages.

Like to do your own car repair? Check out this

It appears that both Dallas and PHX will reach 112F today. That is wrong. At least PHX is a little drier and we are not far from our normal. Dallas is really cooking. Good thing I don't try to run several miles each morning. I wonder if any relatives in Dallas are still doing so?

ZKW, we are praying for you and your family during your deployment.

I have decided to continue reporting to my current manager instead of moving with the planned realignment. It does make me a little more susceptible to future layoffs, but gives me more responsibility and opportunities for advancement. I have avoided that to date after the last couple of layoffs at previous employers, but I have prayed about it and feel it is the best choice.

And starting today, my boss is heading out for a family reunion and I will be stepping in for him as we continue the reorg. So, even though I do not have an 8:30am call today, I do have to get a presentation ready for his 10am staff meeting.

That means you have heard the last of me. At least, for today. You haven't heard the last of me as far as meaning no more posts. You are not that lucky. I have things to say, or at least things I will say, as soon as tomorrow. You'll see.

Sick of Staying Home

I went home early yesterday as I was not feeling well. The house was heating up because our electric rates are 80% higher between 1pm and 8pm (due to the plan we are on). Anyway, being sick plus the heat meant I kept falling asleep all afternoon. So, I was watching some DVR programs, and would miss major portions of them while I slept and had to replay them. One show was replayed 3 times.

Luckily, I feel better today. Plus, I have so much to do at work right now. I had to come in. I am still feeling a touch puny. Is puny the right word? It is. See the definition here.

Kathie did not get home from her school's Open House until 9:30pm. To compensate, they let the teachers report at noon instead of 8am. Today is 8am, and tomorrow is 7:30 and the kids are back. What ever happened to the old "school runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day" standard? I guess we did not learn enough in that many days.

SKS, as far as country music, I would say I like the occasional song, but it is not my genre for daily consumption. I'm normally more of a Golden Oldies from the 60s-70s kind of dude. However, as noted in that post, sometimes, powerful words reach beyond the style of music. I'll check out your suggestions.

Anything else? No? Fine, I guess I will go ahead and prepare the agenda for the 8:30am meeting.

A Missing Link

If you are checking in for today's Clarity of Vision, you can check out. I've got no link for you. I published a CoV last Friday to you, but forgot to send it out to the mailing list at work. So, today, they will be seeing what you saw on Friday. As a result, and because I had an idea for today's cartoon, and forgot it, you don't get one. Production should resume tomorrow as usual.

The ideas I posted on pinterest.com are keeping me motivated to work through my photos and choose which ones should be in this year's photo book, and which ones we want to print and hang on the wall.

I got a pork BBQ sandwich at Red Robin yesterday. Either their portions are too big or my stomach is shrinking. I felt way too full when I got home. I felt better in the evening though, so we had FroYo (you know, frozen yogurt) for dinner. Mmm. I got pomegranate and vanilla. I topped it with popping bobas. Mmm. I liked them.

No, I did not study the project management topics in preparation for today's CAPM Study Group at noon. Yes, I will probably get my hand slapped, but that is the leader's job. Yes, I have lost a little momentum, but I need to try and be ready for the test by the end of this month.

The boss is going to the Show Me State for a little family reunion and we've got to define a 1, 3 and 5-year vision for the group, so it will be a fun week. I will not ignore you, though. Meet me here tomorrow.
