I Was Ready On Saturday, But Not Today

That's right. I took notes on Saturday as to which games we played at JV+KLIK Game Night. Unfortunately, I wrote them on my Kindle Fire, but then forgot to bring it today since I eat lunch during a meeting. So, I do remember that Bella's favorite is a card game called Do Over! It is a fun game. I also remember that she and I played Kings in the Corner and she did very well. And the rest of us played Ticket To Ride card game and a new one (to us) called Racko. We had a good time.

My wife sat out the last few games to hold Jack. Still, I hear her classroom phrases enough to document them in today's CoV.

My parents have set Mom's back surgery for June 15. So, she will manage the pain until then using... well, I don't know what, but a muscle relaxant of some kind. Keep them in your prayers.

Years ago, my Architect Bro invented a language with a friend called Maydelle St. Huckster language (or something like that). Anyway, one of the names they created was calling Dad Pap McGruck. Why? I don't know. They called donuts doan-blairs and haircuts were hair-blairs. Why did they both end in blair? Again, who can say. Anyway, why did I think of that language? Oh yeah. I was thinking Dad should start a cooking blog called Chef Pap McGruck now that he is cooking so much. However, he did try Beans and Rice and Sausage and he said it did not work. See, he could even document that. After all, even if I have nothing to say, I say it here in A Legend In My Own Mind.

So, it sounds certain that Alison got the job teaching at a charter school in Gilbert. PTL for that. She even meets parents next Saturday morning. Now, why is it not yet certain if she is meeting parents' There is a Board of Directors and they meet for final approval on teacher recommendations on May 15, so until then, it cannot be 100%.

I hear I will soon be a great-uncle again once Preacher Bro's oldest daughter has their baby. However, there was no news when I left for work earlier today. Of course, I have been a great uncle (get it? An uncle who is great as opposed to a great-uncle) for years.

OK, let's get workweek 18 started. Can you believe we have already lived through 17 weeks in 2012? Anyway, I need to do some data extracts before my 11:30am team meeting. I should have my Kindle with me tomorrow and I will tell you what other games we played.

I'm Going in 100 Different Directions

One thing I am not worried about as I grow up is going bald. Yes, my mother's grandmother's father did lose his hair, but none of the other men in the last few generations before mine did, and my hair seems a lot like Dad's, so I think I am safe. Why am I talking about this? I got my hair cut yesterday and Phyll was saying I still had plenty of hair.

So, did you notice it has been a while since I mentioned exercise or the 'Y'? Yeah, we've been distracted with a grandson and my tooth problems and Mom's back. We plan to restart this coming Monday.

So, did you notice it has been a while since I mentioned our pre-packaged meals? We have not gotten to one since that delicious tilapia meal. I don't know when we'll get back to those.

So, did you notice it has been a while since I mentioned a new Clarity of Vision comic? No, it hasn't. Where were you yesterday? Anyway, here is a new one.

It's official. I have requested to move from my 17" MacBook Pro back to a PC. There are just too many times where the tool I need is not native to a Mac, and now, I am having big problems with Outlook. I have almost certainly lost a number of emails permanently, and research on the web says reloading personal folders does not restore everything on a Mac. However, at home, I am staying Mac all the way.

Enough for today. You are already bored and I am cussed because of my email problem. Let's just cut our losses and go our separate ways for a few days. We can examine our feelings on Monday and decide if we should stay together.

Can You Refuse to Re-Fuse?

It looks as if Mom will have some vertebrae in her back fused together to end the lower back pain she is experiencing. Hey, if they had to go in a second time to do that, would it be re-fusing? Anyway, the real issue is that they cannot fit her in until July. So, we can only pray that the pain is manageable until then. Wow, that seems like a long time to be hurting, especially as seriously as it seems to be for Mom.

While you can refuse to read today's CoV, I did not refuse to write one. Here it is.
BTW, I did take the Influencer training yesterday and it was interesting, at least until I came up with the concept for the comic and had to write it instead of taking notes.

I certainly appears as if Alison might move to a new school next year. It is not official until the Board of Directors meets mid-May. So, another little prayer request there.

The way my hair grows, I know it is time (or maybe, past time) to get it cut when it resembles a toupee. Well, that time it now. That time is...today! Whoo hoo. We are heading out to JV+KLIK for dinner and a haircut tonight. What? Don't you sometimes go out for dinner and a movie. Well, we go for dinner and a haircut, at least when LMW's mother, Phyll, is available. And, we get to see Jack.

My stupid Outlook on Mac is broken. It took over eight hours yesterday to reload my archived messages, and it is still not receiving new messages. Luckily, I have a way to run Windows programs on my Mac, so I am running Outlook via Citrix and it seems to be working. Oops. No, I just checked and I can see new mail, but cannot view all my archives. Arghh!

I guess I will call the Help Desk and get a new ticket going. I suspected yesterday that there would be more to this story. I hope your day is starting better than mine. See ya.

A Cloudy Day All Around

It is quite cloudy this morning. There is a small percentage chance of rain today and a greater one tomorrow. I heard that it was an improvement for those who commute from the West side since the sun was not directly in their eyes today. I wouldn't know since I come in from the East.

It is also cloudy as to what Mom must go through to ease the pain in her lower back. They meet with the surgeon this afternoon, so maybe we will know something tonight at Survivor Feast.

After today's Clarity of Vision, the future of this comic could also be cloudy. Then again, I've never been one to shy away from questionable taste. Here. Decide for yourselves.

At home, I have been copying all my JPEG files (photos) to a stand-alone HDD (hard disk drive) so I can get control of them again. Ever since my iMac 27" died and I lost that iPhoto library, I have struggled to keep track of what photos I have, what books I want to create, which photos should be printed, etc. So, I am working now to consolidate everything and place photos on one 2TB drive and music on a separate one. The first step is merely to copy the files into a defined directory structure and then I can load them into a library like iPhoto and Photoshop Bridge or Aperture or some other one that I don't know about. Where I load them is cloudy right now.

What I hope is not cloudy is a continued future with this company, so I'd better start earning my keep. So, go grab a cuppa Joe and let's get going.

More Dentitian Pain

Well, I had to endure additional oral discomfort yesterday as my dentist prepared my tooth for a crown. Since it was broken at the gum line, they had to dig into the gums to finish the work. So, I am feeling a little sore again today. Wow, I hope this is behind me. I go back in early May for the crown.

Of course, in the US, we have a president, not a king who would wear a crown. Still, it is only fair that he get a chance to respond to yesterday's Clarity of Vision, right?

Alison felt her job interview at a new school went well last night. Pray with us that the Lord will lead her to a job where she can grow and that she will enjoy.

We recently passed the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Apparently, a guy that my gooder half went to school with is a recognized expert on the Titanic and is in a large number of the documentaries made. He may have even been consulted on the James Cameron movie of the same name.

Since I could not chew last night, we did not have our Crispy Ranch Chicken. Nor did I feel up to exercising. And tonight is Chorale practice, so probably no big meal. tomorrow is Survivor night. Thursday we are heading out to Queen Creek for haircut and JC+KLIK. So, the earliest is Friday.

But that's enough about me. What about you? Anything happening there? Did you see LWW's comment that NZ is entering winter? That's weird, huh? OK, more tomorrow.

Pre-Dentistian Musings

That's right. I have my next tooth activity here in 30 minutes. They will prepare that troublesome tooth from last week for a crown. It should be quick and painless. Of course, that is what I thought last week.

What with teeth and grandsons, we have not been as diligent as we should about going to exercise. We plan to correct that tonight, heading back to the YMCA after work.

I am looking forward to the release of The Avengers movie. I remember those comic books from my childhood. I do wonder, though, if the political process can bend something like a movie into an opportunity for their own purposes. Here is the Republican pass at co-opting the movie poster. Democrat response tomorrow, OK?

After setting a record temperature yesterday at 105F, we are cooling back into the 80s this week. 105 is just too hot for mid-April. I do see, though, that some of you may also have faced higher temps in the past few days. I cannot say what is going on down in Kiwi-land.

Tonight will either be Crispy Ranch Chicken from the prepare-it-yourself place or chicken salad from Costco. We'll just have to see how we feel when we return from exercise.

Well, I need to brush my 'toofies' and use mouthwash in preparation for the dentist. Tomorrow should be back to normal with me writing this at my desk before the workday begins. See you then.

Good Morning, Vietnam Book I Am Reading

So, at home, I am reading the second book in the Looking Glass Wars series based on Alice in Wonderland. At lunch, I just finished one of the Oz books by L. Frank Baum (The Tin Woodsman of Oz) and have started reading a book about the Vietnamese war by a soldier stationed there in the late 60s. It is pretty interesting. I use my Kindle Fire to carry books to lunch. I am also looking through a book about improving presentation skills. What? Are you crazy? Of course I only download free books. Hey, LWW, you said you do not se the covers on your Kindle. Can't you see them when you display the Books view? I do.

I have to use my Kindle Fire because I do not have a smart phone like some people.

We ate the Lemon Butter Tilapia with Orzo pasta for dinner. Ooo whee. It was really good. This was our first time to try orzo, so my media naranja kept calling it rice. Anyway, Dad, when you try it, be aware it is small and so, we did not have a colander small enough to drain and rinse it. I don't know which meal we will prepare next.

B&K are spending the night tonight, but not JV. How messed up is that? Anyway, we are taking them to the local dinosaur museum in the morning. B has been asking us to do that the last 3 or so visits. It is time. I hope it lives up to her expectations.

My mouth is pretty much back to normal now. Does that mean that I talk as much as I type in my blog? Unfortunately for family and friends, it probably does.

Funny. I just tried to call my better half's cell phone, but typed in my cell number. Suddenly, my cell phone rang and I thought, "Oh, my wife is trying to call me since she missed my call to the home phone." No, the display on my cell said I was calling. Oh yeah. Wrong phone number. Speaking of which, we do not like it when we get solicitation calls on our cell. How about you? It seems extra intrusive.

Let's get our Friday on. I may not get a post up on Monday as I have the next dentist appointment at 7am that day. So, I will be back either later Monday morning or, more likely, Tuesday morning.

Right This Way to Your Table

We dined at Chez Walker last night. Well, maybe it should be something other name since we had Italian food. Dad is turning into quite the cook. And finally, there was a little drama in Survivor that made it more fun.

I'm sure there is drama at JV+KLIK with a newborn and his interruption of the normal family sleep schedule. Today's CoV is about using a newborn crying as a ring tone. Wonder where that idea came from?

Finally, today, my mouth is mostly sore only when I touch the area around the root canal or where the deadening shots were injected. Otherwise, I am feeling more normal. I will still keep up with the heavy Advil doses, at least through today. Maybe I will even feel up to exercising this afternoon?

We are supposed to reach our first 100F day of the year on Saturday. Yep, we knew it was coming. That does not mean that we were in a hurry for it to arrive, though. I saw that the earliest it ever happened was Mar 26, 1988 and the latest was June 18, 1913.

It sounds as if my Architect Bro and his wife have quite the plumbing problem in their house. Wow, Rick, good luck in getting everything dried out and repaired. Suddenly, my little bathroom remodel seems like child's play.

I am itching...to get my day started. So, let's scratch...a few To Do items on a piece of paper and get going. That sounded kind of like a Wendy's commercial, didn't it? Anyway, see you tomorrow.

CoV+13/16+JV+KLIK+LWW

Is the title a formula for disaster or success? Readf today's post and decide for yourself.

Did you miss me yesterday? No, wait. Don't answer that. I went for a root canal late Monday morning. After working on my mouth for over 90 minutes, the dentist announced he could not find the tooth canal and I needed to go to an endodontist. So, now my mouth is sore from the multiple Novocaine injections and drilling and being help open a long time, but I get an appointment for the next morning. So, yesterday, I went in for the root canal and this guy has a huge microscope that he looks through while working on my tooth. That was weird. After an hour, he finally finds the canal and completes the root canal. I got a prescription for pain meds and he warned this was going to be sore for a while. Today, it is sore, but I am back at work.

Dental work is no game, but today's CoV is about games.

We had one of the build-your-own meals Monday night. Chicken Mexicala. We both agreed that it was OK, but when we finished, we had eaten 13/16 of it (yeah, I chose that number because it was more than 3/4 gone, but seemed like more than 1/8 remaining). So, I guess we liked it. Tonight is Survivor, but I am not sure I will be able to eat something chewy like pizza. I'll think about it.

I did not hear from JV+KLIK. LMW did post a photo on Facebook, so I know all goes well over there.

I hope everything is going well for each of you. Hey, check out the new posts from LWW. It seems everything in NZ is going well, too.

Over 200 Books Available

Yesterday, I started pulling together all the books that we have read or probably will not read. We ended up with 5 or so boxes containing around 200 books. Believe me, there are still a whole lot of books in the house, so this is not emptying out the bookshelves. We will first take them to a second-hand bookstore to see which they will purchase. The remainder will be donated to Goodwill as a tax write-off for 2012.

A number of you have been asking what I will do for my son's family acronym. Until 8 days ago, they were KLIK (the first initials of each family member). With the addition of Jack, a change is needed. I suggested KLIKnJ (KLIK and J) to some family members, but was roundly smacked down saying that was cheating. Hey, it's my blog and my acronym, so it cannot be cheating. Another option I considered was KLIJK with a silent J. Even I considered that one cheating. So, for now, we are going with a rock group-sounding name. JV+KLIK (JV and the KLIK). For now, at least , Jack Victor gets top billing. You are welcome to respond if you have better suggestions.

You are also welcome to respond if you have your own comic that you wish to submit. Until then, I will keep publishing mine.

We plan to start our next group of pre-packaged fresh meals tonight with Chicken Mexicala. I think we are planning Tilapia for Wednesday. So far, the folks have not eaten any of theirs yet.

I need to do some work before I leave for my root canal later this morning. I had a lower retainer that broke loose and I had it removed last week. When they pulled it out, they found it came loose because my right canine tooth was broken off. No, I am not really looking forward to it, but c'est la vie.

Hope your weekend was great. We'll chat more tomorrow.

Friday, April 13, 2012

It's Friday the What?

Did you remember what today is? This will remind you.

KLIK came over for dinner last night. We had Nello's pizza and salad. Mmm. Good. While they were here, Bella and I played a little Frisbee in the backyard. I warned her, "Bella, be careful to avoid any dog poop in the grass." She replied, "I will, even though I don't know what 'avoid' means."

Here is Kyle, Lyndsay, Bella, Kendall, and Jack only a couple of hours after Jack's birth.

And Kathie joined Kyle and Lyndsay to pose with her newest grandchild.

I think we are going to try and catch The Hunger Games movie this weekend. Wow. It has been months since we saw a movie. Does that mean we will skip brunch and go to Rubio's for fish tacos afterward, as is a long-standing tradition? I cannot say. Well, I actually could say it if I knew what we will do, but I don't, so I won't. Man, I even lost myself on that sentence trying to make sure you followed my logic.

OK, after that, I think we both need a break. I will see you again Monday the 16th (doesn't have the same ring, does it?). Have a good one.

Jack In The Box

Before he was born, this is what both Isabella and Kendall called little Jack. I don't know if they will continue that or not. His parents fixed up the room in a pirate theme and colors, and not a Jack in the Box in sight.

If I had typed Jcak instead of Jack, would you still have been able to read it? Have you ever read about a study at Cambridge that proved people could still read words if the interior letters were out of order? Well, there was no such study, but that does not stop me from using it as CoV fodder.

We went with the folks last night to make those Make-Your-Own-Meals that we picked up from Dinner A'Fare. We had a lot of fun and they look pretty good. They had the preparation stations very organized, with plenty of Ziplock bags and numerous measuring cups for all dry and liquid ingredients. So, we brought everything home and will probably start making them early next week. The folks have six meals and we do, too. I am guessing they might get 8-9 meals out of theirs and we will get 7-8.

I am reluctant to slime today (I mean smile. Ha ha. Did you read that correctly?) because of that broken tooth discovered yesterday when they removed my lower retainer. And there is just a touch of temperature sensitivity, too. The root canal will be Monday, then they will build a new tooth, and then they will replace my retainer. As I often wonder, would it have been better to just have my teeth replaced like Dad?

Still two more weeks until Mom can see a back specialist about possible surgery. Until then, she continues to have constant pain. Keep her in your prayers.

Whoa. I have been just typing and not monitoring how long the post is getting. Some of you may have nodded off by now. Sorry. Mea culpa. I'll will stop and tell you whatever else I might have written in tomorrow's post.

Toothless and On the Way There

Let's start with someone who is already toothless. Here are a few shots of Jack at the hospital on Sunday. This first one is Jack and his proud Daddy, Kyle.

And then, I brought the girls to see Jack.

And, of course, the proud grandparents.

I just got back from the dentist. A lower retainer I have had for 30 years broke loose on one side, so I had to have it removed. When they pulled it off, the entire upper portion of a tooth came off with it. There had been decay that no one noticed because it was under the retainer band. So, root canal on Monday. Until then, I am missing a tooth on my lower right side. And, a crown on my right side has some decay under it. He looked at the records and found that it has been in place for 20 years. The dentist said most only last 8-12 years, so this is ready to be replaced. Otherwise, they said everything looks OK.

Since I had a dentist appointment, there is no CoV today. I do have one that came to mind, but no time to create it. I'll write it tomorrow. I am thinking of one that uses the premise that people can read words where all the letters are rearranged as long as the first and last letters are correct. We shall see.

I stopped by the house to pick up my lunch and decided to post so I could add some photos of Jack. I need to get to the office in time for a 9am training session. Thanks for your visit. Good luck with your teeth.

The Following Program is Rated PG (Pretty Gross)

Well, I suppose the whole post is not gross. Only today's Clarity of Vision comic. Let's go ahead and take a look.

You may have heard that my grandson was born on Sunday. Mommy and Jack came home yesterday. He was 7lbs 10 oz and 21". He was born healthy and the delivery was uneventful. PTL. I do have some photos, but they are on Facebook. I did not remember to upload any for the blog and I cannot access Facebook at work. I'll try to do so tonight, although with Chorale practice, I might forget.

While they were at the hospital, I stayed at their house with Kendall and Isabella. We played games, played with battery-powered race cars, watched some TV, danced, jumped off the bed onto the floor (well, they did that, probably in disregard to normal house rules. Don't tell their parents, OK?), rode scooters (again, not me), played with the dog in the backyard. The first morning (Sunday), Bella made breakfast for us. Cereal, milk (I let them pour it, but I cleaned up the spills), a granola bar, and water to drink. That was nice of her. "Pops, I know you are tired, so you can sleep some more and I will fix breakfast for us. Can you get the milk? Can you get some napkins? Do you want a big bowl? Which cereal do you want?" It was cute.

Still, you can imagine that I slept quite well last night at home. I am not used to dealing with little girls 24x7.

I am not sure when/if a post will go up in the morning. I have a dentist appointment at 7am, so I will not be at work before 9ish.

Not much to say this morning. I have been "grandchilding" since we last talked. So, nothing else has really happened. I should be back to normal by next visit. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter!

Easter is a happy time. Christians around the world are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. True, the majority of people may be celebrating just to signify Spring and Easter egg hunts and candy, but we know the real reason for this season. Praise Him for His love.

Some of the family are going to see Mirror, Mirror this morning because they are off from school. Hmm. Rotten Tomatoes only gives this movie a 48% approval rating. Still, those ratings do not always reflect how I feel about a movie, so I hope they like it. The commercials look cute.

We need a clever Easter-themed comic to start our day.OK, fine. I will look for a clever one.

We are still planning on welcoming Jack into the world on Sunday (well, as far as I have been told). Whoo hoo.

By the way, I did show Dad the Android game Fling! the other day and, as expected, he enjoyed it for the few minutes we had in which to play. No, it is not enough to make him want to buy a Kindle Fire or Android phone, though.

Listen, since I am out Monday, the boss needs me to generate the normal data analysis early so they can still review it during the Monday meeting. So, I will let you go early today. Don't tell your mother, OK?

Meal Options Ordered

We finally sat down with Dad and chose the meals we want from Dinner A'Fare. We went with chicken and one fish dish. Dad chose a broader set of options, including fish, chicken, pork and shrimp. We will go assemble our meals next Wednesday.

The Jack countdown is underway. Yeah, baby. We'll be grandparents again soon. Well, not that we are not now, but... You know what I mean. However, we only help occasionally. Mommy and Daddy will live it 24x7. Kyle may end up like this.

Dad made a Red Velvet Cake for dessert last night. He is becoming a regular chef. We may have to have a Lyndsay/Don Cook Off.

Mom was feeling sick yesterday, so we did not see her when we went over for our Walker Tribe Survivor night. So was Little Sis. So, keep them in your prayers.

Listen, I have some things that I need to finish pre-Jack. I do plan to be here in the morning tomorrow, but I expect to be out of the office Monday keeping Bella and Kendall while their parents are at the hospital. So, if you hear nothing on Monday, do not be alarmed. Don't Worry. Be Happy.

Coming Soon To a Neighborhood Near Us

OK, it looks as if Jack will join us on Easter Sunday, if not before. Whoo hoo. I know that I am ready. Well, maybe not as much as Lyndsay. My job is to stay with the GRANDS while the rest of the family joins L&K at the hospital. This is going to be great.

I know what you are thinking. How can anything be as great as getting to see a new Clarity of Vision every day? Well, thank you. Let's take a look at today's comic, although I would probably rather see Jack than a silly old, poorly drawn (although cleverly conceived) cartoon.

I have an app on my Kindle Fire called Fling!. I really like these puzzle games and this one has a nice twist. It is available for some smart phones, too, so check it out if you enjoy those types of games.

If Jack is really born on Sunday, we will not make it to the family gathering. So, in order not to leave you without a primary dish for the meal, here is the recipe for Green Bean Casserole.

2 cans (14 oz) French cut green beans (be sure to get French cut or French style. They cook more thoroughly)
1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup
3/4 c milk
1/8 tsp pepper
1 1/3 c French's Onion Rings
Mix all ingredients except 2/3 c onion rings. Pour into buttered casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with remaining onion rings and bake 5 minutes more or til onions are golden brown.

Gross. I have to drive over to another building for a meeting at 11am. This building has limited parking and they will tow cars. They recommend that we take the light rail over there. However, from this location, it is several miles out of the way to catch the light rail and it costs money. I guess I will hope there are spaces at 11 since maybe people will go out to eat.

Anyway, the workday is making noises around me, so I will join them. Tune in tomorrow to see if Jack is still waiting for Sunday.

I'm Only Hurting Myself

It's true. After we have taken the hour or so to go workout, we come home ready to eat dinner. We just grabbed some chicken salad from Albertson's and ate at home. However, by then, I had forgotten my plan to choose the Dinner A'Fare options we want for April. So, we have to wait until next week to go to the shop and prepare them. So, I'm only hurting myself by delaying.

I am also hurting myself by exercising while on statin drugs. Studies show that it inhibits the liver enzyme HMG CoA reductase. Wow. Don't you hate that? So, it means that soreness does not go away like normal. However, my doctor says it is not dangerous, and exercise is good, so keep doing both.

One thing I do not do is tweet. I have never been on Twitter and only have a couple of places where I see tweets. However, my lack of familiarity with something is no reason not to use it in a CoV.

I am back after sneaking over to my idea log and capturing what just might be tomorrow's comic. Well, if I come up with a better idea or a sequel to today's Clarity of Vision, then my idea will wait. It has the theme of old vs. young, so watch for it and we will both know it was written during today's blog.

East Valley Chorale practice tonight, but no concert on Easter Sunday. I think our next one is a week from Sunday. Sometime between now and then, though, I should become a granddaddy again. I need to pack a bag to be ready to stay with the GRANDS while their mommy and daddy are welcoming Jack to the world.

Well, if I don't get to work and prepare for an 8am meeting, I would only be hurting myself. So, I will take my sore body and get to work. You are also welcome to exercise your brain in your own work situation.

Warm Made Even Warmer

Wow, when it is in the 90s outside, you can imagine what it must be in an attic. Saturday, I worked in the attic to find and remove the old nonworking bathroom ventilation fan. Then , Sunday, I went up to replace it with a new one. Luckily, it was only in the 70s yesterday, so maybe it was only in the 90s inside the attic. Well, at least I got it finished.

Inside the house, Dad helped me hang a ceiling fan in the kitchen. It has already helped. Thanks, Dad.

No, we have not yet sat down and chosen which meals we want to try from Dinner A'Fare. We need to do that tonight if we hope to have a chance to go and assemble them this week. Times are still open Wed 6pm and Sat 11am and 1pm. The folks want to try it, too, so that brings the cost down to about $7.20 per serving after tax (or $4.80 if you can get three meals out of each). I mentioned the options a couple of days ago.

Speaking of meals, someone thinks this book is about eating. Do you?

Alison was sure Jack would be an April Fool's baby, but he isn't ready to come out yet. I'm glad, as that birthday would have been fodder for schoolyard teasing in the future. He'll be here when he is ready. When that day arrives, my job is to watch the granddaughters. Now, that I can handle. I've got this new book called 'B For Breakfast' that we can read.... No, not really.

It looks like a normal workweek, which means I have some reporting that must be ready by 11:30am. That means I had best begin extracting and compiling the data.

I hope your weekend was good and this week is even better. I'll be in touch.
