Calendars and Clowns and Cartoon-inspired Donuts

Without further ado, and 'ado' not have any, here are the photos from my Ouray calendar for February. They include a view of Kendall Mountain above Silverton, CO.

And a cowboy and his horse getting ready for skijoring in Silverton.

On my commute this morning, I heard that there will be a job fair in the area today. That set my mind to spinning about what we see at a fair.

Did I mention that I did not watch the Oscars? Yes, I did. Now, it turns out that many of you did not watch, either. The ratings were at an eight-year low. Ouch.

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Chipotle for dinner and they had advertised a free Sofritas burrito. However, the location we frequent was out of them and so, we left in a huff (more like a minute and a huff). I wrote to the company and they sent coupons for two free burritos. Last night, we went to use them and our location was out of rice and carnitas. Hmm, time for a new location? We ended up going next door to Smashburger and it was pretty good. I got a black bean burger, TD got chicken, and MBH got a burger. We will go back there.

Not only do TV shows exhibit bad parenting examples, we often amrvel at how little interaction is provided to babies in programs. Those kids are rarely in scenes and are usually very quiet and docile when they are on screen. Where were those behaviors when my beloved kiddos were young?

Have you ever struggled to assemble IKEA furniture? Scientists have used water to put together a self-assembling chair. OK, fine, it took seven hours, but it made it, and you can watch it happen. Where will that lead? Who knows, but it is interesting.

Disney donuts, anyone? And they are NOT from Disney. A food blogger created them using tools everyone has (such as a sandwich bag to frost them). You can read about them and get the recipe here.

Have you visited every national park in the country? I certainly have not. I HAVE visited one of the five parks that this article claims are the worst. How many have YOU been to?

Are you hankering for a slice (or two) of Bacon Wrapped Crust Deep! Deep! Dish pizza from Little Caesars? Well, it's here, and it'll cost you 450 calories per slice. More details here.

We've had fun today, haven't we? You bet. All good things must come to an end, though, and that includes a blog post. So, go have a Tremendous Tuesday and check back soon.
