Are you looking forward to The Peanuts Movie, opening in theaters this Friday? It looks like it could be kind of fun. And we will finally see and hear The Little Red-Haired Girl. Anyway, I read a really cool article talking about the challenges of making a 3D version of the characters. As a teaser, I will share one curious discovery that they made. "Snoopy was particularly challenging. 'Because Sparky drew a side view and a front view differently, we had to make each camera angle customizable,' said Dunnigan. From the side, Charlie Brown's best pal has a Picasso look — both of his eyes end up on one side of his head. In a perfectly realized 3D animation of a character, a side view would show you just one eye -– but that wouldn't be Snoopy."
Looking back over the last few years, I see that this year's colors weren't too bad. Here, I will show you some shots from driving back on CR10 outside of Ridgway. You can see that, as we drive and watch for scenic conditions, we often end up stopping at pretty much the same spots. We felt like we had missed the peak of color this year, but looking back (especially to 2009), this year looks really nice.

All of the above photos are real. None are recreated using Lego blocks. What am I even talking about? Check out the teardrop trailer below. Yes, it is made from Legos. Pretty cool, right?
You probably already know that Ben Franklin jokingly proposed a similar idea in 1784. Germany was the first country to implement it in 1916, and the US followed suit in 1918. The current schedule was established in 2007. How much difference does it really make? Check this chart to see what it means to you based on your schedule.
That last paragraph had a lot of numbers. I know that you do not like to do math when you read this blog, but sometimes, numbers help tell the story. Other times, they may tend to obfuscate the message. And other times, they are included simply to mess with your mind. You can guess which one is appropriate now, can't you?
I am not finding any stories to share this morning, so I will wrap up now. That lets me get to work, and lets you get to whatever it is you do. We made it to Friday and the weekend, so have a great one.
Maybe I will see you at The Peanuts Movie.
