Our grandson really loves Cars, the Disney movie. He knows all the characters and we have two books at the house that he likes for us to read to him ALL THE TIME. So, I tried to time a photo of the Racers ride at Disneyland so that it looks like a real character instead of a ride. Take a look. You can see a bit of the bridge back behind the car.
In one of the shops off of Main Street, we came across a Disney artist drawing scenes of various characters. Here, you can see Mickey and Minnie taking shape. I found it interesting that he twists the paper around to different angles to help him draw the lines at the angles we needs.
Between the two parks (Disneyland and California Adventure) is this compass rose of Mickey silhouettes laid in the bricks.
Are you a Simpsons watcher? After 22 years, I am sure that you have seen at least one episode. I have seen most of them, beginning back when it was a short cartoon on the Tracey Ullman show in 1987. Have you ever pondered where Springfield is? Somewhere in the Midwest? Well, what is we had proof that it is somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere? It's true, according to a view of the moon in a recent episode. Take a look at the evidence in this article on Slate.
Did you watch any of the Oscars last night? We did not. First, by the time I got home after the Chorale concert last night, it was already half over. Then, we just did not watch to spend three hours watching 10 minutes worth of interesting content. However TD called us in to hear some of a Lady Gaga song. True, she is not a singer I follow closely, but it turns out...the lady can actually sing. She belted out a medley of The Sound of Music tunes and sounded fairly decent. If you didn't watch last night, you can always find it on Youtube. This was also the most Tweeted moment of the telecast.
I did not actually look up this article from Drudge Report, but I do know for a fact that this sculpture is a life-size model of Mick Jagger's head. That is his personal dental hygienist working on the teeth.
Not long ago, we looked at the Beehive picture hangers in Kickstarter. Today, I found another curious opportunity. The Yike Bike. A small, electric bicycle being made in New Zealand. Check it out and watch the video of the bike in use.
Clarity of Vision time.
Do you wish you could order breakfast at any time of the day when you go out to eat? Apparently, 70% of Americans do. So, why don't fast food places cater to what the public wants? This story lays out a couple of the reasons.
And speaking of things that you, the public, want...how about a wearable banana that acts as a GPS? Yes, Dole is preparing just such a thing.
I'm not seeing anything else right now, so let's not waste either of our times. Check back tomorrow when additional hilarity with surely ensue.
