Over Ophir

Let's start with a funny pic. It looks like they tried to use an online translator to find an English translation for the name of their haircutting business.

What happened today in history? It was the last day of Woodstock back in 1969. Yesterday was the anniversary of Elvis' death in 1977.

Would you guys be nervous to use this bathroom? I think it's funny.

Have you heard of the Stock Photobomber? He takes stock photos and inserts himself into them. Some of them are really clever. For example, here is the stock photo.

And here is the altered version.

Here is a photo of the road leading toward Ophir Pass. I think that the mountain in the background is Anvil Mountain. The road runs from CO550 south of Ouray over to Ophir, south of Telluride. Ophir is named after a place in the Bible.

Here we are, having reached Ophir Pass itself. It is possible that is still Anvil Mountain in the background. Yes, that is snow up here at over 11,000 ft, but not as much as we have seen in previous years.

Speaking of snow, though, I am reminded of a photo we took years ago where we had to turn around because of the snow pack high in the mountains. Does anyone remember which trail we were on? And when was this? I am guessing 1995 or 1996.

I played again with Prisma last night. I started with this photo of columbines on Ophir Pass. You can see from the moire pattern that this is a photo of a computer screen.

The Dreams filter came up with this interpretation.

And the Light Summer Reading filter renders this.

We did not watch the Olympics last night. I do know that Simone won her fourth Gold Medal.

Coming up later this week: A pizza party and video viewing at Dad's place. What video? Our family reunion, of course. What were you thinking? Star Wars or something?

It's time to earn a paycheck. Still, it was fun spending a few minutes with you. Have a Wonderful Wednesday.
